In the summer I went to a fireworks festival in Sendai, along the banks of the river. Some people dress up for festivals in traditional Japanese wear, and a few ALTs got dolled up for this one too.

This is in an arcade in Kagoshima City, I love the place for the puri-kura! You know those photo machines where you take your picture with friends and then you can decorate the picture and get a few prints? That’s called puri-kura here. Some students have binders packed with pages and pages of puri-kura.

An alley somewhere in Shinjuku, Tokyo. I spent my first few days in Japan in Tokyo and fell in love with the place. I know, I fall easily, but really, Tokyo is amazing and left me starry-eyed for days after. I can’t wait to go back.
